Last night at approximately 7:30 pm, the Covington Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at the intersection of N. Pierce Street and N. Columbia Street. Upon officer’s arrival, it was discovered that two people were injured in the shooting. Both were immediately transported to local hospitals for treatment. The Covington Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and the St Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating this shooting further.
