The Louisiana Department of Health says as of yesterday we had 6,424 reported cases against 5,237 a day before. 34 more people died in that 24-hour period, bringing the total to 273. 1,498 COVID patients are in hospitals, 490 of them require ventilators. Orleans Parish has 2,270 cases against 1,834 cases reported the day before. 115 deaths have occurred there. There are 1,433 cases in Jefferson and 64 deaths. St Tammany is reporting 270 cases and 6 deaths. Livingston has 23 cases. Tangipahoa is listing 33 cases and is now reporting 2 deaths from the virus. In Washington there are 39 reported cases and 2 death. These numbers will be updated again today at noon.
