Authorities announced that the deadline to pay state income taxes has been extended due to the public health emergency created by the coronavirus pandemic. The Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) is extending the deadline for state income taxes to July 15, 2020. This is for residents and businesses. Leaders hope this help take the pressure off of people who have lost their jobs or who have seen income reduced because of COVID-19 and mirrors what has been done at the federal level.
