Southeastern Louisiana University is set to unveil a commemorative banner Saturday at halftime of the men’s basketball game against Nicholls in the University Center honoring the Lionettes’ 2018 UDA National Championship. The Lionettes, Southeastern’s dance team, earned the first gold medal in program history at the 2018 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships, beating out dance teams from St. John’s, Saint Joseph’s, North Dakota State, Northern Arizona and Central Connecticut State in the Division I Hip Hop finals. Members of the gold-medal squad are Re’jon Alexander, Kylie Ballard, Breigh Blouin, Bailey Boudreaux, Raegyn Bouza, Abi Collins, Alexis Duplessis, Zyria Guillory, Katherine Hernandez, Bailey Kelly, Kyleigh Lane, Emily Leeper, Madelyne Miley, Cailin Sampey and Ally Serigne. The Lionettes were coached by Paige Hall.
