Slidell Mayor Greg Cromer and City of Slidell officials say they are monitoring the potential tropical weather as it moves through the Gulf of Mexico. The National Hurricane Center forecasts that the storm could develop into Tropical Storm Nestor and they have issued Tropical Storm Warnings for southern Louisiana. Cromer said the City of Slidell is monitoring the potential tropical storm and is preparing in case conditions should get worse.
