The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that 19 YO James Salvant surrendered himself at the Parish Jail Wednesday night and was booked on one count of Illegal Use of a Firearm and four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. The shooting occurred last week when the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Coast Boulevard in Slidell in reference to reports of gunshots being heard. A subject in what is believed to be a silver or white Toyota Corolla fired upon a second vehicle, which was occupied at the time by four individuals, as the two vehicle drove down Coast Boulevard. The suspect vehicle then fled the area.
