The St. Tammany Council on Aging will begin a new series of Stay Active and Independent for Life exercise classes beginning in January. Also known as SAIL, this is an exercise class for older adults designed to help maintain and improve balance and mobility. Exercises are adapted for all levels of physical ability. The classes will be taught at the Covington Activity Center on N. 10th Street, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:15 and 1 p.m. Or at the Lacombe Center on Hwy. 190, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m. And the Slidell Center will have classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. To schedule a registration time, please call the COAST Administration Office Monday—Friday between the hours of 12:30p.m. — 3:00p.m. and ask for the Wellness Coordinator.
