A group gathered at Madisonville’s Maritime Museum last night for the parish’s President’s Arts Awards. Honorees and their family and friends enjoyed food and beverages while listening the music of Ronnie Kole before the event began. Presented by St. Tammany Parish President Pat Brister and the parish’s Commission on Cultural Affairs, the awards and accompanying ceremony recognized members of the arts community for achievements in their chosen professions.
For the first time ever, a lifetime achievement award was given to Willie Paretti, who passed away earlier this year. The award was accepted by family members.
Other honorees included Covington’s Three Rivers Arts Festival, Missie Spinoza, Palmetto’s on the Bayou, and more.
