It is still a major problem, but the water on the Pearl is finally starting to recede. The Flood Warning continues for the Pearl River near Pearl River until further notice. At 7:00 PM Thursday the stage was 18.1 feet with major flooding occurring. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. The river will continue to fall to a stage of 17.8 feet by tomorrow. And the Flood Warning continues for the Pearl River near Bogalusa until Sunday March 08. At 7:00 PM Thursday the stage was 21.8 feet with moderate flooding occurring. Flood stage is 18.0 feet and the river will continue to fall until below flood stage by Sunday March 08.
