Parish Government says they have officially closed parks, playgrounds, and the Tammany Trace. Please know that should citizens choose to use the Trace for the next couple of weeks, there will be no presence of rangers for your security or to provide assistance to you, if needed. Additionally, the drawbridge near Lacombe remains in the upright position to accommodate boat traffic per the Coast Guard. Parish government says they encourage residents to continue to get outside and get exercise in and around your neighborhoods. Parish government also spoke out against some large gatherings held on local waterways this past weekend.
