Yesterday the Northshore Humane Society said a breeder of hunting type dogs in Washington Parish had to release approximately 30 dogs. After arriving at the property, it was apparent there were more dogs than expected and living conditions were not ideal. They were able to rescue close to 50 dogs, including multiple litters of puppies. With the increasing number of dogs, comes increasing medical costs! To help, you can foster or adopt a dog from their shelter in Covington at 20384 Harrison Ave. Or you can donate, each of these dogs will receive full veterinary care, food and shelter until they find their forever homes, about $350 for every animal they save.
