Area rivers are still dealing with high water. Until Monday February 10 the Flood Warning continues for the Tangipahoa River Near Robert. At 5:30 PM yesterday the stage was 12.9 feet. Flood stage is 15.0 feet and it is expected to rise above flood stage today and continue to rise to near 16.5 feet by Saturday. The Flood Warning for the Bogue Chitto River at Franklinton until Saturday February 08. The Flood Warning continues for the Pearl River Near Bogalusa until further notice. At 6:00 PM yesterday the stage was 16.5 feet. Flood stage is 18.0 feet and it is forecast to rise above flood stage today and continue to rise to near 20.5 feet by Monday. At 20.0 feet…Woodlands and crop acreage along the river will be flooded. The Bogue Chitto Wildlife Management area will be inundated with water in recreational camps and over access roads. And the Flood Warning continues for the Pearl River Near Pearl River until further notice. At 6:00 PM yesterday the stage was 14.2 feet. Flood stage is 14.0 feet and the river will continue rising to near 16.5 feet by Thursday February 13 then begin falling.
