The Louisiana Department of Health says as of last night we had 280 cases reported from 703 state tests that do not include commercial testing. According to them, 7 people have now died from the Coronavirus. Those numbers will be updated again at 9:30 this morning. Orleans Parish has 196 cases reported and 6 deaths have occurred there. There are 45 cases in Jefferson and 1 death. St Tammany is now up to 10 cases. In Washington there is one reported case. So far 13 parishes are reporting cases of the coronavirus. 54% of the cases reported so far in the state are female, 46% male. Things you can do to help reduce the spread include getting a flu vaccine and taking flu antivirals if prescribed, covering your cough, staying home if you are sick, and washing your hands.
