Sonja from United Way wanted to promote their Red Beans and Rice events. They will be at the end of this month, one in Covington and one in Slidell. Proceeds go toward mental health on the NS.
Sarah from the New Orleans Mission spoke to us about a race they have coming up. The New Orleans Mission is hosting its Run with a Purpose on Saturday, July 16 at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville. Registration starts at 7 and the race starts at 9. This event benefits the Lynnhaven Women’s Shelter in Hammond and the Men’s Rehab facility in Lacombe. Find out more at neworleansmission.org.
