The Louisiana Department of Health says presumptive positive coronavirus cases will now be considered positive after lab tests have proven to be reliable. Until this statement new cases of the coronavirus were considered “presumptive positive” until sent to and verified by the CDC. On Saturday, the LDH said the CDC noted that lab tests have proven to be reliable and confirmation of positive lab results is no longer needed so results will now be considered positive instead of presumptive positive. A dashboard has been set up by the Louisiana Department of Health for tracking COVID-19 testing results in Louisiana. It will be updated at 9:30 and 5:30 daily.
