After following leads generated from the public and neighboring agencies including the St. Tammany and Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Offices, the Hammond Police Department Criminal Investigation Division has arrested 31 YO Mark Crayton Jr., of Holden, for stealing catalytic converters. Crayton Jr. admitted to the thefts and said others were involved. He implicated his father as being a driver in the thefts, so a warrant for Crayton Sr. was issued. A hold was placed on Crayton Sr. who is currently being held in Livingston Parish Jail on unrelated charges. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible.
