The 9th Keep Hammond Beautiful and the City of Hammond free tree give-away event will be Friday, January 17, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., or until all the trees are gone! It will be held at the City of Hammond Maintenance Facility on Highway 190 East across from Northshore Technical Community College. 100 Free Louisiana Native Trees will be available, including Mayhaw, Sweet Olive, Red Maple, River Birch & Sweetbay Magnolia. Hammond residents can get one free tree per adult in attendance, while supplies last. This event is organized by the Keep Hammond Beautiful committee and the City of Hammond.
