Earlier this month the Hammond Police Narcotics Division was contacted by the Ponchatoula Police Department that they had information of a suspect dealing narcotics from his hotel room at the Super 8 Motel, located at 200 Westin Drive. The HPD Narcotics and PPD Narcotics Divisions contacted the occupant of the room, Joel Fuller, 47 years old of Ponchatoula. After interviewing Fuller, detectives determined there was evidence of narcotic activity and obtained a search warrant. They found his hidden stash of narcotics inside the room, seized them, and arrested Fuller for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Schedule II Drug with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. This case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office for their review.
