A 12-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her grandmother over the weekend was found safe at a hotel in Bogalusa. Her grandmother, 66 YO Evelyn Miller was arrested by the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office over the weekend. Now the mother of the victim is facing her own charge in connection with the investigation. State police said Adreana was taken at gunpoint from Ochsner Hospital in Jefferson Parish at approximately 5 p.m. Friday. Deputies said Evelyn Miller went into Adreana’s hospital room to remove her from the hospital. When hospital staff tried to stop her from leaving with the child, she pointed a gun at several of them. They also said while she was getting away, the grandmother pushed a nurse to the ground and hit a security guard with her SUV. On Monday, a spokesperson for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed Adreana’s mother, Pamela Miller, was arrested on a charge of accessory after the fact to simple kidnapping. Investigators said Pamela Miller assisted her mother, the girl’s grandmother, in fleeing the area and avoiding law enforcement officers.
