The Flood Warning continues for the Pearl River Near Pearl River until further notice. At 6:00 PM Thursday the stage was 16.0 feet with minor flooding occurring and major flooding in the forecast. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. The river will continue rising to near 19.0 feet by Saturday February 22nd with major flooding of River Gardens and moderate flooding of lower portions in Magnolia Forest Subdivisions. Homes south of I-10 and east of Military Road will be threatened with flooding. And the Flood Warning continues for the Pearl River Near Bogalusa until further notice. At 6:00 PM Thursday the stage was 20.4 feet with minor flooding occurring and moderate flooding in the forecast. Flood stage is 18.0 feet. The river will continue rising to near 22.5 feet by Friday February 21st. At 22.0 feet woodlands and crop acreage along the river will be flooded. The Bogue Chitto Wildlife Management area will be inundated with water in recreational camps and over access roads. Property east of Highway 21 along Bogalusa Creek will begin to flood. Bogalusa Creek will back up, threatening the Sewage Treatment Plant. Homes south of Bogalusa Creek and east of Highway 21 could flood.
