St. Tammany Parish President-elect Mike Cooper has named a 20-member transition team as he prepares to take over Parish Government on Jan. 13, 2020. Cooper has asked the team to help identify the most pressing legislative needs, prepare for the inauguration, provide briefings on the various departments of Parish Government, and prepare an inventory of Parish boards and commissions. Cooper said the transition team represents a cross-section of the Parish, with diverse experiences and professional insights. Cooper thanked them for being willing to serve in a volunteer capacity and for their commitment to St. Tammany Parish.
