Backdrop Louisiana: St. Tammany and New Orleans, is the next exhibition at the Slidell Cultural Center at Slidell City Hall. It opens Friday, January 10, with an opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
The exhibit will feature a collection of movie posters, gallery cards, and accessories from movies that have been filmed in Slidell, St. Tammany Parish and the New Orleans area.
The exhibit will close on Friday, January 24, with the screening of local documentaries starting at 5:30 p.m. with Voices of Olde Towne and conclude with Waterways to Railways at 6 p.m. These films are presented by the Pontchartrain Film Festival.
