Trey Folse, Superintendent St. Tammany Parish Public Schools says the school system’s “Grab and Go” meal distribution program had to be suspended. The system is looking at alternative ways to distribute food to local families, and state leaders have advised there may be state-wide meal distribution possibilities. Superintendent Folse said this was an important service for our families in need, but says the safety and health of our St. Tammany students, employees, and community must remain their top priority. Folse said he also sincerely appreciates the school system’s Food Service Managers, school administrators, and the PTA and community volunteers who worked to provide this service to our families.
