The Northshore Humane Society says a breeder in Washington Parish has to release approximately 30 dogs. They will be rescuing them today and calling it “Operation Hunting for Homes!” They got the call from the parish after months of investigating a breeder who became overwhelmed with hunting-type dogs. Although the owner agreed to surrender all of his dogs to the parish, there is nowhere for them to go. Their goal is to have every one of these animals in foster care before end of today. Temporary foster homes are desperately needed for each of these dogs. Each of these pups will receive full medical care, and food and shelter until their forever homes are found. A donation page on Facebook and their website have been set up specifically for this rescue. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting, please arrive at the Northshore Humane Society shelter at 1:00 PM, on February 13th.
