The Louisiana Coastal Restoration and Protection Authority and the US Army Corps of Engineers signed an agreement with St Tammany Parish government to investigate the most feasible means of providing additional flood protection and ecosystem restoration for St Tammany. This effort will result in a list of recommended projects that would be eligible for federal funding in the future. The study will be under $3 million dollars and is federally funded. Parish President Mike Cooper was on hand with officials representing the other organizations for the signing.
