Yesterday, Sheriff Randy Smith and the STPSO Operations Division hosted a Mardi Gras meeting with all of the law enforcement agencies on the Northshore. All agencies share resources and work together to make sure parades in St. Tammany Parish are a success. The law enforcement agencies represented at the meeting were: St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Slidell Police, Mandeville Police, Covington Police, Pearl River Police, Madisonville Police, Louisiana State Police, Bogalusa Police, Folsom Police and Ponchatoula Police. Together, with the assistance of Causeway Police, the agencies will provide officers/deputies to maintain safety and manage traffic at 16 parades in St. Tammany and Bogalusa.
