Small businesses, non-profits and community organizations are invited to learn more about the Northshore Collaborative, which will host its third public conversation on Monday, Jan. 6, 5:30 pm at The Maple Room, 2219 Carey St. in Olde Towne Slidell. The collaborative effort is one of several organizations that formed in the wake of the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce’s closure. The primarily after-hours format of the Northshore Collaborative has been adopted to accommodate the many “mom and pop shops,” sole proprietors, staff and volunteers of non-profits and civic organizations for whom meetings held during business hours create challenges. Networking opportunities will begin at 5 pm, with presentations and conversations to begin at 5:30 pm. Reservations are requested on the Facebook event page or via email, Info@NSCollaborative.com.
