The cyber-attack on the city of New Orleans continues to disrupt city services but work is already underway to get the city’s information systems back up. After the intrusion was detected, the city ordered all its computers be shut down. New Orleans Chief Information Officer says they are confident that the data they have is recoverable, and the city’s disaster recovery plan will return systems to normal. Officials don’t have a timeline on when that will happen, so in the meantime, work that was being done on computer has reverted to using paper forms.
