We were expecting bad weather with a strong cold front that collided with hot Gulf air yesterday across Louisiana and Mississippi and we got it. Funnel clouds, dangerous winds and hail were all reported, with the National Weather Service receiving reports of more than 30 tornadoes, many of them in the central parts of Louisiana and Mississippi. One person was confirmed dead and more were injured with many structures damaged or destroyed in both states. Behind the front, temperatures have dropped dramatically. After highs in the 80s in Louisiana on Monday, we’re expecting highs only in 50s today.
