The Louisiana Department of Health says as of yesterday we had 6,424 reported cases against 5,237 a day before. 34 more people died in that 24-hour period, bringing the total to 273. 1,498 COVID patients are in hospitals, 490 of them require ventilators. Officials say sprinklers at Armstrong International Airport extinguished a fire in an electrical room last night.
