The St. Tammany West Chamber is taking steps to officially change their name to the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, pulling in members from the dissolved East St Tammany Chamber of Commerce. Their initial efforts to reach out to businesses in Slidell are underway.
On Tuesday, the 2019 Treasurer and Executive Committee member David Boudreaux of Hancock Whitney Bank and CEO Lacey Osborne attended a meeting of nearly 80 Chamber One group members held at Studio G. Also, a town hall meeting attended by nearly 60 Slidell business owners and community leaders was held at the Sadie Jane where Board Chairman Townsend Underhill of Stirling Properties spoke about what was underway. Chamber staff also went through membership statistics and benefits and encouraged becoming one of the initial investors in the new chamber.
