The first weekend of air travel at the new billion-dollar airport in Kenner led to some complaints. Passengers at the new Louis Armstrong International Airport reported a frustrating problem at the new north terminal. Travelers said long lines at the Transportation Security Administration screening areas left some passengers waiting an hour to get through the process. A spokesperson for the airport said TSA is fully staffed, but Sundays were a peak travel day. Many praised the new look of the north terminal, but problems with lost luggage and high prices for ride shares out of the airport have plagued the opening.
